➖FATED MATES or not, they both think of and worry about all the things that could go wrong or get in the way of their getting together like, for instance, one having to finally tell his family, who he believes he has kept in the dark, that he is gay. Or, for one having to reveal that he is a Komodo Dragon to his fated mate, and worry about being rejected, as has happened so many times in the past. Or, one of these two wondering if he will have trouble getting his fated mate to accept his line of work, more men have run, and run very fast, once they hear what he does for a living. And how would one of these men explain to his parents, who would no doubt be horrified and upset, that while your poor, murdered sister - their daughter - lay in the morgue, torn and mauled, stiff and cold, on the mortician's slab, waiting to be prepared for the family's viewing scheduled for the very next day, that he had had a date with the very mortician who was to prep and repair her mangled body for all to view and mourn over, the very night before the viewing.
➖Funny thing was, that all these things that they THOUGHT WOULD BE IN THEIR WAY of love everlasting, WEREN'T.
➖One's family had already known, for years, that he was gay! And, when being a Komodo Dragon was revealed, his mate couldn't wait to see and run with him! As for one getting the other to accept his line of work, turns out his mate was only so very PROUD of him and not only for Doing That Type of Work but also, for how he put his heart and soul into making sure he did the very best he could, not only with each and every single "patient" but, did his best each and every single time, too. Doing the best he could out of respect for the "patient" and the family actually did get him recognition as BEING ONE OF, if not THE BEST at his profession, too.
➖And, as for the date with the mortician...his parents were only, so extremely, happy that he finally not only brought someone home for them to meet they were, so extremely, proud that it was also his FATED MATE!
🖤Just goes to show you that many times YOU MAKE MORE OF YOUR OWN STRESS and PROBLEMS than anyone else ever would by your own "over-thinking" everything, way too much.
🖤And, that's what makes this story so much fun! There's not one bit of adverse reaction or thought about these two getting together.
🖤And, even with themselves, there's not one moment of "ohh... I don't know..."
It's, basically, just straight up "WE'RE MATES, LET'S GO!"

🖤I think EZRA DAWN's, "THE MORTICIAN" was very well thought out.
It most definitely held reverence for the deceased and the process of preparing people's loved ones with UTMOST LOVE, RESPECT, KINDNESS, TENDER THOUGHTS AND COMPLETE REVERENCE.
🖤Though these two meet over the body of one's beloved sister, there is ABSOLUTELY NO DISRESPECT, WHATSOEVER! Not even in the slightest! The solemness of the situation and circumstance was always kept! And, with the HIGHEST RESPECT FOR ALL INVOLVED!
🖤And although, this fated meeting does happen because of this death, it is NOT a sad story. It's a story of "HAPPY LOVE!"
🖤This death and it's aftermath are given ALL it's due thought and respect but, it is NOT the focus of this story. That "focus" would be "LOVE EVER AFTER!"

I enjoy Ezra Dawn books they are romantic and funny . They find each other at a bad time for Miles .
I absolutely loved this story
This is a short story, but a good one.
Dimitri is a komodo dragon shifter. A tragic death brings him his fated mate. Mustafa is in the closet never an easy place to be when he meets Dimitri.
There was little story to this 'book.' It's is only 50 pages but it starts at 7% and ends in the upper 80s. I would not pay 2.99 for one 40 pages with little story development.
It was a great premise , cute in places but I must confess , written in a manner that struck me as " youthful" . That doesn't make it a bad story per se. I just didn't feel anything for the MCs. The pov switches didn't bother me , and there wasn't any typos. I just felt it lacked depth.
Or even a story, really. No world building, no character development, no real relationships, no real plot, no conflict. Wth?!?! What was the purpose of reading this, this piece of lint nothing? Or want even like spinach in your teeth annoying, it was seriously nothing. I will DEFINITELY not read anything published by this author again.
I enjoyed this short story, especially since it involves a mortician and a mortuary, not quite everybody's chosen profession, so I find that to be quite unique. Also, the Mortician is a komodo dragon shifter, and his mate is a lion shifter named, Mufasa (cute). I loved the way they recognized each other as their mate and didn't waste time with one of them being reluctant (which I hate). Everything was precise and to the point. It was sweet, so I didn't have to worry about one of them being beaten or tortured, and I found that to be refreshing. Adorable story and very creative.
